How to add Azure cloud account
The process of adding an account consists of configuration steps on the client’s Azzure account and proper configuration in the Cloudmizer application

Prerequisites
As part of the prerequisites, we will save some data that will be useful in the next step. The application will also be created and given the appropriate permissions.
You will perform the next steps in your Azure cloud account. Log in into: https://portal.azure.com/
Copy Tenant ID
After logging in to the panel, go to Azure AD . After loading the page, find the Tenant ID field and then copy it for later use.
Create an application and give it permissions. Copy subsequent values.
Find and select from the left menu . Applications are added using the button .
Complete the form and confirm the creation of the application with the Register button.
After reloading the page, find and save the Application (client) ID for later use.
In order to create an application secret, go to the left menu to and choose
As part of the form, we can choose its name and indicate the validity period of the key. After confirming the selection, it will appear in the list. Copy the value from the Value column for later use
The next step is to switch to the . service . After reloading the page, copy the Subscription ID value for later use.
Next, go to the subscription by selecting its name, and then select the option from the left menu
With a button you need to add two roles:
- Billing Reader
- Management Group Reader
Search for a role in the list, e.g.
After moving on, click on Select members and search for the previously created application.
Repeat the same steps with the second role.
Add role to access reservations
After returning to the home page, go to . Next choose , and then Add role assigment .
In that tab you need to add
- Reservation Reader
The process is exactly the same as in the previous step.
Copy billing ID (for the accounts types diffrent from CSP)
On the main page you need to call the . service. After reloading page choose .
On the displayed page, copy the ID for later use.
Add cloud account in Cloudmizer
After logging in to the application, go to
After clicking on +Add account, a form will be displayed in which we select the provider to Azure and give any name for the added account. Then we confirm the willingness to add an account by checking “I want to connect Cloudmizer with my cloud account”.
In the next part of the form, enter the previously copied Azure Tenant ID value. You can also enter a fixed discount percentage if you have one.
Then confirm by marking that the required 3 roles have been assigned:
- Billing Reader
- Management Group Reader
- Reservation Reader
In the next part, enter the previously saved Application (client) ID value and the generated secret (Azure Client Secret)
Then, you can select the option for your cloud account to be analyzed in the form of Hybrid Benefit (if you use this option) and enter the Subscription ID value.
The last point depends on the type of account type you have. If it is a CSP, leave the field empty, for any other type, enter the previously copied value
The whole thing ends with the SIGN button. After successfully adding your account, the data download process will begin, which may take up to 24 hours.
